batch mp3 conversion Question

ok... I got a WHOOOOLE bunch of mp3's that I want to drop the bitrate on. I got some great software that will do it on one by one basis... but anything that will let me do a mass conversion?? (kind of like irfanview lets you do that with pics).

no software that i know of off hand.....

but why would you want to drop the bitrate??

bit rate is really high and I wanna reduce the file size smaller so that I can push more of them to an mp3 player..... (I will still keep originals)

found it!!! goldwave is capable of whole sorts of batch conversions
