Bastard pack with MJ leaves

Didnt get much info from the tech section. Anybody hear do it? I've googled and found some info varying from 3" to 7.5"

Id be happy with 4.5 to 6.5"

Use the main leaves mix and match with XJ leaves, install and see how high it sits. If it's not high enough add some more leaves, too low take leaves out. From what I've read and seen there is no exact formula for the bastard pack.

right i understand that, and thats what i plan on doing. I was just curious if anyone had done it and what there results were?

i am first going to try cutting the eyes off the MJ main and adding the whole thing under the XJ main.

I did a bastard pack with S10 leafs under the XJ main leaf. Got me 3"lift. Rode smooth and flexed decent. Only thing is they lasted about 2yrs. before they sagged out enough for me to replace them.

If you plan on keeping the truck for awhile, just bite the bullet and buy a set of leafs. Otherwise you'll just be putting off having to replace them.

Although it will be a good learning experience.

MJ leafs are stiff. Really stiff. I'd probably go with the lighter rated S10 leaves so my kidneys didn't hate me.

you could probably get 5" of lift if you used all the leaves from the MJ pack.

Really wanna get the axles under it for the first and all i need is leaves but am to broke to drop 200 to 300 on a new set right now.

5" and 35's on a XJ should be fun!!!!!
