Badlands has been sold

I got word of this on Thursday.
Seems everyone in town knew about it.
Make money and move on...it's the American Way...

My biggest concern would be them jacking up the prices. I know Paragon was a nice park, but it was kinda pricey.

i was thinking the same thing. i sure hope not.

ok, i just looked up the prices in the old 04 NACfest forum. it was:

"It will be $25 per day (vehicle and driver)."

There was no discount for multiple days.....so it cost me $100 for the 4 days I was there

Ouch. Badlands' multiple day passes only went up $10 each consecutive day up to 3 days ($20->$30->$40). Hope they keep that system.

You guys are quibbling over chump change!!! You get what you pay for.

The ex-Paragon owners are 150% committed to our sport and were strong friends of NAXJA and NAC. Cherokee Ridge trail (eventually runway 265!!) was our legacy. The loss of Paragon is a body blow to Eastern wheeling. You are really getting high quality people out of this deal.

This may not be a popular view in MWC, but, the main reason I made the trek out to the Badlands a couple of times was to wheel with NAXJA folks (Beezil, Bloose, Chewy, ScotMac, etc.), not the park itself. The trail system was no great shakes. (and I still have a shopping cart gouge on my passenger door as a remembrance)

I have no doubts that Kyle and Stephany will do a great job in improving the Badlands experience. They deserve your enthusiastic support.

Mike in NJ :patriot:

of course they'll get our support.
to me, the only changes at the Badlands will be improvements.
other than MI, I saw no significant improvements since I been wheeling there.

Will they own MI as well, I always thought that was Troy's property?

It was my understanding that Troy owned both the Badlands and MI. MI was not part of the Badlands, but it was Troy's private stomping grounds that he'd give private tours of. I may be wrong but I thought that's how it was.:dunno:
