i started paintin my xj 2 years ago & am still workin on it ... as the money lets me. started with the grey primer, then switched to the black primer lol. doin the wet sandin (by hand) down to bare metal so as not to have any variations in paint depth/thickness.
not sure if im adding any grafix to it or not. other than possibly doing the P.O.W. / M.I.A. flag on her somewhere (as i am a veteran).

making stencils out of thick drawing paper, spray adhesive(re-mountable) and tape.


good luck cracked-butt, i am doing my paint job since i have some down time as i am looking for a job so i am painting to keep myself busy. recent grad as of dec.

as far as the time goes, the hood and door were done in a day but because of the rain and cold the total paint job has been taking a while but the drivers side is almost done and as soon as the weather gets better the passenger side is next, stencils ready to go. so stay tuned ha

I like it man i only have one suggestion and that would be to loose the trim along the bottom and just bed line without it. Looking bad ass though when you going to pull a part here in Charlotte i live about 5 miles from there!

yeah lookin for a job is a job within itself! been out of work since the spring, so the money for anything "not exactly" nessisary (sp?) isn't there. rent, bills & gas is about all i can cover at this time. until one of us can get hired somewhere.

yeah i was doin a temp service job, then got "laid-off" cuz they didnt have nothing.
but it's been a great "vacation"! lol took the family camping , then traveled from penna to florida to s.carolina to here in tennessee!
like to go campin again, my lil one loved it! she enjoyed watching the "daddy-legs" covering our tent lol.

im lookin to do a backyard paint job on my S10, im just trying to figure out how im going to go about doing it. its my dirt bike/going to the dump/misc truck. so it dont have to look pretty it just needs paint cuz the other stuff is just flaking off.
