IMO you're better off either rebuilding the 4.0 (stroker time maybe :guitar or look for a low mile 4.0 from the junk yard to swap in. the 4.3 isn't that great of a motor from what I've read, plus you wouldn't have to fool around with the tranny/tcase and you wouldn't have to fab new motor mounts... plus all the rewiring involved etc.
