axle tube material

Where to get it? what to get? I'm not asking about thickness, I'm asking about type of a material (I know there are different strength grades so edumacate me: btw, I'm looking probably at something in the range of 3/8" to 1/2" in thickness ) and who supplies it.

I used 4130 from Shapiro Supply. They take small orders. I've used them a bunch. This stuff WON'T bend! It also welds really well.

You had no problem finding the right size? I looked at the catalog and their selection looks very promising.
