I saw a 6 lug axle in the yards today. Disc brakes, coil spring mounts, four link. Flang for the DS on the third member pinion. Any ideas? I think its a Toy axle but am unsure. There was a number on it 1F427A and a sticker that said use LSD oil only.

Ooops forgot to mention that it was a rear!

Is there a site that I can check the number I got off the third member?

Look anything like these?

Yes is did but it was 6 lug. And there was something electriacal on the rear pinion. I assumed a speed sensor. It look a lot like the one on the right but it had four link suspension parts. Anywhere I can run that number off the third member and get the ratio? It was under a rockwell truck axle and I could not move it enough to get it out to measure it. What width is it? Can I assume this is a 8" or larger Toy 4x4 axle? Is it worth messing with?

If there are two plugs (about 8 wires total) and a vacuum line coming out by the pinion (real funky looking setup) it has the e-locker. The shaft on the right in the pictures is a 6-lug and the other is a 5x4.5. 8" probably, but I don't know how to check them without pulling them apart. Same with the ratio.

These are taco axles and the abs sensors are on the housing ends. Don't know about the cruisers and 4-runners.

I don't think it was an E-locker, but I may go see what I can get it for this week. If I can figure out what gears are in it!

Anyone know of a site that has info on this axle and weather or not the number on the third member can ID it?
