When climbing through mountain highways, trans doesn't downshift to third when I feel it should. As the climb gets steeper, and third would be the right gear, the trans won't shift until later, skipping third and shifting all the way down to second. After bringing the jeep up to speed, the tran will shift up right past third to 4th and hence setting the jeep up to bog down again on these freeway climbs. Yea I can move the shifter to 3rd, or quickly remove my foot from the gas peddle and reapply it to the peddle in just the right spot (for the right engine load) to keep it in third. But it would be nice if trans would use 3rd gear more on it's own. Any suggestions. Sensor to check. Happens with tran switch on "power", even worse on "econ".
