atsg service manuals

anyone know a place local i can pick up the atsg service manuals for automatic transmissions? i need one for the aw4 and a ax4n (ford). can only find them online and would have to order it monday, but would like to get a jump on it.

Try SCRIBD.Com. It took me a while to find mine but the 46RH was in there. Most of them are, you just have to sift through

thanks for the info guys, but what i meant was id like to actually pick up the book before the weekend so i can read through it over the weekend. i can wait till monday to place the order. just thought id see if there were any places that sells them off the shelf. thanks.

Stix that link has an aw4 service manual PDF, thats why I posted it. might be a good primer

thanks grimm, i'll check that out aswell. mainly need the ax4n to try and fix the wifes car, but id like to have the aw4 manual for future referance. i will rebuild the spare aw4 later this year.

somewhere i have a factory aw-4 manual. if i can find it, you can have it. will look tonight. it has specs, diagnostics, rebuilding, etc.

JXPEEJ, the ax4n in our 98 mercury sable wagon was rebuilt almost 2 years ago, but it just started acting up again. this time it wont shift into first gear. sometimes if you peddal the throttle it will engage, but then want to pop in and out. im thinking its the 1st/2nd gear sylinoid, but being the electronocly controlled device it is, i suppose it can be alot of things. hence the need of the service manual so i can go over its workings. the atsg manuals have trouble shooting and diagnostics, thats why i was looking for one of those. the car has some other ecm glitches aswell, as last month when i went to smog it it passed all emissions but didnt show any of the self diagnostics stored as if i dissconected the battery or something. but i didnt. no pass untill i figure that one out aswell. car is not worth investing too much into it so i will tinker with it myself for now. oh and our small town of fallbrook is in the middle of building a new library, so id have to go out of town and find one. im so lazy.
