I'm looking for a 1bbl carb for an 84 Cherokee, 2.5 four banger.

A buddy of mine will be moving out of town very soon and is in need of a carb. His crapped out. If anyone has an as-close-to-free-as-possible one operational, it would greatly be appreciated. He just needs to get the Jeep to its new home. Time is becoming an issue. Lets see what you got.

Ooooh man, good luck with that Curt. Very very few guys on here run carbed XJs. I'll try to scour the local junkyards for you to see what I can find. I'll let you know if luck strikes me .

Should be in the MWC sale and wanted section. Anyways, what is this carb worth to your buddy? I have two actually. One taken apart with most parts available, and another still on my 85 2.5 four banger. Was working good when I pulled it in the garage. Let me know.

Well, it has come to a head. He either needs to find a carb, or is going to let the 84 go.
The carb got new gaskets last week. The problem he is having is a severe lean running issue. Any ideas what could be the problem? Adjusted the float multiple times, checked everything over many more times.

Yeah your buddy stopped by my shop on Sunday(yesterday) I felt bad that I didn't have one that I could let go of(all my 2.5s are efi but one and it's on one of my wheeling xjs, won't part it out.)...andy:rtm:
