I'm in Birmingham and T'town, Alabama and looking for an XJ body only. 4-door, 2-door, year, it doesn't matter. Only thing is I would like it to be complete (hood, tailgate, but doors are optional) Anyone help me out?

Thanks

Define Cheap!

NOT MINE, just a refferal.

His profile says he's in Huntsville.
Not sure it fits your needs either, but thought it might be worth a look.

Thanks for the replies, I think I know a guy in CAOS who is looking to get rid of an XJ body so I'll probably go with that.

Ryan had his up for grabs a few days ago,try him. Just look for the finest looking avitar on the SE board, that's him

I've got an `88 2-door that the body is surplus on; the running gear is getting another `88 back on the road. It's rough looking and I'd forget about using the doors (passenger side's falling off!) but the hatch & hood are there & work. We've already yanked the engine, tranny & tcase out of it, just need to yank the axles and she'll be ready to find a new home if you're interested. It's got a title as well if you somehow wanted to try & register it; don't know how well it'd pass an inspection without some major work. Does $350 sound cheap enough to make you want to see pictures? :D

I'm in Toney, AL (in between Huntsville & Ardmore, about 11 miles from the rocket/rest stop on I-65) if you decide you're interested in checking it out...

Hey Don, you ever eat at Mildred's there on 53?
I haven't eaten there in a while, wondering if it's still any good?

Can you throw some pics up? I do have people saying people have free bodies closer by, but I can't seem to hear from them so I may go with you.

Well, I haven't eaten there in a while but my wife says the food's still good. She says the meat is pretty much always good, but the veggies are sometimes a bit overcooked. That's one of the closest eatin' places to the house (the recently opened El Paso is the closest!).

I'll try to take some tomorrow & if I can't figure out how to post them I'll email them to you. Don't worry too much about the price; it's somewhat flexible (just ask my wife!)...

If I haven't been able to get them up by 6PM tomorrow, I'll email them to you (if your profile has the info, that is!). Better to have it tossed on a frame & bashed about in the woods than to piece it out & then chop up the remains to cart off to the scrapyard!

I've got a 89 4door body here in central florida, nice body, no rust I think...may be too far from you...missing seats, trans tranfer, and axles...maybe a few plastic pieces off the front, and left tail light...I think thats it...

Don't worry about the pics. I heard from a local guy who is giving me his complete 87 XJ body. Thanks for the offer though.

No problem; if it falls through just give me a holler. I haven't been trying to get it out of the yard in any hurry. I just wanted to offer it up in the event you wanted it since it will be surplus after I get the axles & the rest ot the tcase shift linkage off of it. Good luck with the framed XJ project! :laugh3:
