Anyone running turbo 2.5L ?

ok.....another dumb question.where do i get a carb.adapter for my 2.5l?i have the carb i want its a nice weber but i need the adapter for the carb and linkages......anyone have any info?

I was talking with MudDawg yesterday and he mentioned that the kickdown cable and throttle cables from a carbed 2.8 gm motor would work great with a little fab work. As far as the adapter goes, I don't remember right off hand. Which Weber carb did you find to work?

Seach RedLine or Red Line Weber...they distribute weber...they will tell you who to call.

Believe it or do not, AMC actually offered the 2.5 motor WITH a factory EFI/turbo set-up on the spirit car. We had one in my junkyard, and now we have a 1987 spirit with no drivetrain (Gee, I wonder what happened to it?) several months back, I had a neighbor give me an '87 MJ with a 2.5, papers and all. anyone wanna' place bets on what is happening to the MJ?
According to the Hollister Interchange Manual, the EFI/turbo was available from 1986 until 1990. If you go this way, make sure to grab the EFI comp. out of the car, because if not, GOOD LUCK trying to find it later. Oh, yeah, the intercooler from a t-bird, or same basic size motor is a good idea, AMC never used one.

According to my research this is a OHC motor and was based off of the 2.2 Chrysler turbo motor so very little will actually interchange with the 2.46l AMC engine.
