Anyone interested in a D35 Lock-Right or c-clip axles

Just curious if anyone is interested in a d35 c-clip lock-right? I had it in my 91 xj for a couple of years and it has always performed w/o a problem. I have all the parts and owners manual too. Just upgraded with a super 35 kit so I don't really need this. Asking $100 obo. I'll include the open carrier for 3:73 & up for an extra $10. Also have the stock 27 spline axles I'd like to sell, $30 for both. I'm listing this here so that, if someone is interested, I can bring the parts w/me on the Swamp Lake run. I only get to this sight once a day and that's between 1 am and 5 am so I probably won't respond to questions till the next day. Anyway, let me know if you are interested.

my dad might be interested in some or all of it. He has a '98 TJ, though I think saw somewhere that older lockesrs might not work for TJ d35?

If it helps, the part # on the box is 2311S2, dana 35 w/abs. Acording to the RE catalog pn 2311 is for 93 and newer d35's. I have a 91 xj w/abs but I bought the open carrier from a rearend shop down in San Diego so I'm not sure what it was originally in, and got the Lock-right to fit the carrier. If any of that helps out and your interested let me know. Rob D

I might be interested as well for my 98' grand cherokee dana 35 rear. Currently it is down for awhile with a blown tranny, so I could have time to put the lockright in. Are you sure everything is included with instructions? I know there things are pretty simple to install.

Sorry for the completeness question, I see you mentioned that it is complete with parts & instructions. I'm interested. I know Jason has 1st dibs though and his dad could use it more in his tj than me in my street zj.

Just an added note for fitment. The Power Trax web site listed part 2311S2 as fitting Dana 35's in the following: 94-97 XJ, 93-2000 ZJ and 94-2000 YJ/TJ.
Troy, yea all the original paper work that came with the box is still in the box. And it worked just fine on my daily driver, even on the winter trips up to Tahoe on the icy roads. If you have a heavy right foot it can get a little squirrelly on icy roads.
Anyway, I hope this helps. Rob D

I plan to be at the Swamp Lake run on Saturday as I will be coming up with the group staying at Farmer Matt's. I could bring some cash and get it from you there. This would be for my 98' zj that is currently out of commission for having a bad tranmission. :-) It would be nice to have a locker in the back though just for the heck of it I guess. I have a detroit in my 91' xj with a dana 44 and don't really feel it on road, but know it's there off road.

My Dad said he'll take it all. We'll both be on the swamp lake run so we could just pick it up then unless you'll be in the area? I go to Vallejo every day for work and sometimes to San Ramon so let me know.

There is another D35 available. It has 4.10 gears and a lockright. It's an 87, so no c-clips and larger diameter brake drums. Also 3 pairs of spare shafts!

Sorry to hi-jack.

I don't know what the guy wants for it, but I'm sure he'll take anything. He just spent $1000 on his 91' D35, he added a Detroit. No gears or Super 30 spline kit. He wasn't happy with the 87 axle because of the action of the lockright.

PM me for Details

Go for it man, your dad needs the lock rite more than me. My zj is down anyways now.

Basalt51, pm'd ya w/some phone #'s.

Chuck, not a problem on the highjack. I'm just tryin to clear up some space in the garage so if it's possible for him to get a better deal, that's alright. But I'm curious why that guy spent $1000 for just the Detroit? I paid $700 for by 30-spline kit w/Detroit, $30 for the machine shop to press my bearings and abs toner rings, and $10 for gear lube. I did my own install and didn't even bother to check what someone might charge. Was that where all the added costs came from? If it is, I'm sure glad I do my own work!! Rob D

The guy is just plain stupid! I like and I can tolerate a lot of people. I can't stand him, partially due to the fact that he questioned my integrity.

So he deserves to break those c-clipped 35 shaft and get stuck out in the woods. Maybe eaten by bears and mountain lions, Oh my, I like that idea too much! :firedevil

I hope this was aimed at the guy that swapped out the non-c-clip for the c-clip and spent $1000 doing it, since I don't think I said anything to get ya so riled up. :dunno:

is that lock rite still available for the 87? (don't need gears or carrier)

I still have it but have someone that said they wanted it. I'll know for sure after next weekend. Thanks for the interest. Rob D

Still planning on getting it from you :)
