Some new "air" bumps? They look like airbumps but are filled with foam, like polyurethane or something. They're supposed to give almost the performance of airbumps without the air bump price. I'm trying to find them online with little luck. I just saw them in one of them off road mags recently.

Daystar Stingers and teraflex has one too but I don't know what they call them. I looked them up a little while back couldn't find much, but what I read for the price you can almost buy some FOA bumps.

so... you can weld the actual cans, and theyre cheaper, and no nitrogen charging.
anyone got a price? they look like they cant be that cheap, especially once you factor in the "got something new and improved" tax.

from the illustration, theyve got a much softer initial rate than a 200psi air bump, try to manually compress a conventional airbump by hand!!
i love how the guy says 'THEYRE UNIVERSAL!!', obviously that means it doesnt bolt on to anything specifically, but he's using it as a selling point in the wrong way, imho.

theyre as universal as a offroad style coilover.

i'd rather just buy these for half the price and have it do the same thing.

I'm going to pick up the 7.5" units

Your first link is just the prothane inserts from the link above inserted into a can. I've seen a couple fords at the vorra races with just the prothane inserts stuffed into the coil buckets. The trucks had a pretty smooth transition from bottoming considering the amount of air they were catching. Granted its no substitute for an air bump but its a good alternative for the frugal type and those with limited funds.

yeah those speed bumps only have 2 or 3 prothane rings in them. When the jk bottomed out on teraflexes video it looked harsh. The more rings you have the more progression you'll have. You'll want a coil insert unit that reaches from upper coil bucket to bottom bump stop for maximum plush and progression.

Yeah according to the Pirate thread they're looking like it'll be $130 each. FOA airbumps are like $150 a piece. Scratch the cheap idea...:)

to be honest, as someone whos had to take an entire front end apart to charge a pair of bumps, i kinda like the idea of no nitrogen.

you mean to take your coil out? for me its two bolts, 1 for upper shock, 1 for limit strap-bamm 10 minutes later its out...but air bumps charge from the top. Putting the charging nipple in your engine bay...I'm confused as to why you take your whole front end apart...?
