Gotta problem. I own two (2) legitimate copies of AutoCAD LT 97. My problem is that they were bought as upgrades from the Windows 3.1 version and won't install unless they find the previous version in residence on the hard drive.
My old computer that had the previous version installed is long gone. I now find myself needing to install the '97 version on one computer and reinstall it on another -- and I can't do it. Autodesk customer service just e-mailed and told me, basically, to f*** myself -- "media replacement is not available for this product because it is more than 5 years old."
If anyone has a full (non-upgrade) version of AutoCAD LT 97 or LT 2000, I'd be very grateful if you could burn me a copy of the CD and send it to me along with the serial number and whatever other codes are needed to install. I can send you the serila numbers from my boxes to prove I do own this stuff, and I'll pay for the CD and the shipping.
TIA
