Anyone have a room for rent?

Hey guys, one of my friends from college is getting a transfer to the bay area from Irvine. I know a lot of you live in SJ or the bay area and was wondering if you know of a room or a cheap place to rent within 30 min of los altos? She is currently employed in a national company doing environmental work as a geologist. If you see anything in passing would you send me a link please?
