Anyone going to Moab?

I am going, but a week too early. I will be heading back Monday Oct 2. If anyone is going early, I would like to meet up with you.

FWIW, there will be a Ramcharger event the weekend before.

That's a LOT of coffee without a "pit" stop.

One year I'm going to make a run out there. Probably have to wait until the kids go to college before that happens. Then of course there'll be no $ left to do it with.

Yo man! We are getting there on the 17th. We will be there for a week and a few days. I'll be in the XJ and I'll have 2 buddies with me in a YJ and TJ. We'll have (2) 4 wheelers along too.

That sounds about right. I'm figuring 3 long days (gotta stop if I've got the family along!). I was there in '96, (from LA only 12 hour drive-one day!) and been trying to get back there! I'm thinking in 2-3 years, the kids will all be potty trained! I'm not waiting til college. I'm thinking rent an RV, trailer the XJ. That way the kids/wife can do what they want while I drive for hours! I can't see cramming 2 lil ones and the wife in the XJ for 3 days there, then trails all week, and back into the heep for 3 more days home! I don't think I'd enjoy that quite so much!

This is what is posted on the Ramcharger board:

Ram Jam 2006 will be held in Moab Utah and will be a 3 day event held on Friday Sept 29th through Sunday Oct 1st.

The trail plan. (Evening plans will be posted soon)

Every morning, we will meet at the City Market parking lot in the center of town between 8:00-9:00AM (local time). We will leave for the trails between 9:00-9:30AM.

Day 1 (9/29) - moderate trail = Sevenmile Rim (3.5) - No difficult trail on day one.

---For day 2 and 3, you can chose between a moderate or a difficult trail. All of them are fun trails.

Day 2 (9/30) - moderate trail = Kane Creek (4)
Day 2 (9/30) - difficult trail = Hell's Revenge (4)

Day 3 (10/1) - moderate trail = Fins 'N' Things (3.5)
Day 3 (10/1) - difficult trail = Golden Spike (4+)
