Anyone done Naches Wagon Road lately?

Just curious what kind of shape it's in after the recent rain. I'm thinking of heading up that way tomorrow (my rig and one of my sons in his XJ) to run from Greenwater to L. Naches. We would probably be driving Chinook Pass back to the west side. Anyone else planning on doing that run this weekend? In case you're wondering who I am, I'm the guy with the dark blue 97 XJ that showed up with my wife at NW Fest and joined NAXJA that weekend. Ran the easier route with Howard and crew on Saturday and went out again with Howard and Karl on Sunday. Haven't done much wheeling since then.

Hi Steve, haven`t heard from you for awhile, glad your still visiting the site.I just talked to a guy from pnw4wda ,He ran it on tues. was wet, some mud on the west side .Slick at the first hill off the road at the start and some of the holes are holding water.
Naches Trail west side closes for the season Nov 14.
Last sat 4 of us ran those same trails that we ran that sunday ,not the same view and then ran some others

Dang, wish I had seen this post earlier. I would have driven over.

As soon as I jump out of the shower, I think I am going down to some logging roads to see if there is access to some Wherehauser land.

Howard, thanks for the update. The trail report was accurate. We ran it yesterday and had a great time. The first steep section on the west side was very wet and slimy so I bailed on that after a couple attempts (but before crunching anything) and got on further up at the next place it crosses the road. My son ran that section and we met up where I got back on the trail. His trac lock made the difference over my open diffs in getting through the slime. That and the fact that he's got his '89 XJ well broke in and used to bouncing off objects. I'm still trying to keep mine straight as it's what we drive most of the time. There was lots of mud and some puddles up to axle deep but still solid on the bottom. I think we only spent a couple hours getting over to L. Naches. The weather was great and we decided to catch the sunset at Raven's Roost. Ran the upper couple of miles of the powerline trail (well above the big mud holes) and saw a great sunset.
Jason, sorry I didn't post sooner. It just came together at the last minute.
