Anybody an Audiophile?

Me and a buddy will be at Audio Advantage in Cincinnati Saturday the 26th for a car audio competition. I will not be in the comp but my buddy will he has an 01 XJ w 6 12s in it. Just letting you guys know a member will be there. Look for the big white Cherokee with the wall in the back of it. that will be us:guitar:

yeah i know. he kinda of blew his last one up(literally) it was nasty. he is looking for a Comanche to wheel. But hey all i gotta say is it is not mine and at least its lifted and not sitting on 22s or some crap like that. Its not my cup of tea but he did an excellent job on the stereo and hopefully it will pay off

When I think "Audiophile"...

I think of someone who likes music, and wants to reproduce, as closely as possible, the original artists performace in their own environment.

I wouldn't call someone who makes their car into a big woofer a "Audiophile" - LOL!

Maybe I'm just out of date :\

Good luck in the competition. Even though that sort of audio system isn't my cup of meat, a number of folks enjoy that activity (unfortunately some drive by at 2am <rolled eyes>).

No you are not out of date. You are spot on. The OP buddy is a SPL guy. Lots o' Noise and not much quality.

not much quality my ass his stereo is well balanced he has Alpine type-r components alpine Head unit, Kicker amps and subs. sound processor line-driver. This is by no means his first rodeo boys. His highs will easily keep up with the lows. I guess he isn't an audiophile when he has put hundreds of man-hours into his jeep to make it sound the way it does. I just posted this for guys who are interested in this type of thing . Its not my cup of tea either but hey he paid for it and with the help of his buddies and a couple other people it turned out great for amateurs
