ANY ONE EVER HEAR OF GARY PITS?

i was out talking to my neighbor yesterday and he told me him and a coulpe others are going to gary pits this weekend and wanted to know if i wanted to go, i have never heard of it and every time i talk to any one around here they say the only places are badlands, cliffs, and silverlake so im thinking this is a illegal spot, seeing that i dont want to be arrested or shot at any time soon i want to know if its legal or not any one heard of it ?

I read it alos because for one Gary is not to far from me and I drive thru there a bunch. There used to be this place by the highway (80/90) next to that bridge company west of US steel that I always saw people riding dirt bikes and wheeling but it does not look like there are any pits there. i have not seen to much traffic back there for a couple of years, i think the way they were able to keep pople out of there was to tunr it into a "conservation area" but i would be interested also to find out if there is a place and if it is legal.
