Im trying to get some prices to have my axles geared. Ive got a d30 & c8.25 that are out of the jeep. Ive got all the parts ready to go. Any local members setup gears?

I got mine done at Gambardella racing in williamstown. They did a good job, still holding up.

Shops seem to be a lot more expensive do to their overhead. So far they are all more then i wanna pay. Most shops used to charge 200-250 per axle. What happened to that? And nowadays they make you buy all the parts from them. I should just buy the tools and give it a whirl myself.

I do it professionally at a shop:wave1: BUT out of the shop I typically charge 200-300 an axle.

Included with each axle is a build sheet what shims I used if applicable. What preloads, backlash.

You get a copy of the specs and I have a copy that goes into my files (yea I know I'm weird) pictures of Drive and Coast side are included as well.

If you want lockers installed most lunchboxes I do for no additional cost with gears. If a selectable locker is desired, an additional cost is added but typically not that much more.

Soooo With all of that being said I'm a bit backed up at the moment with axles both in the shop and out of the shop. So if you need it done within the next week or two I'm out. But if it can wait a little while let me know. :greensmok

Too bad you're far away. I would have no problem helping you out or some beer/pizza and showing you at least what I know.

I love setting up gears.

Royal if you decide you want to take.this on yourself I have loaner tools I typically rent out to DIY. Pretty much everything you need minus the press, that's to big to lend out.

only a couple hours. I assume I can bring JUST an axle? If I get scared off from doing it myself I may bring you an axle and my jeep
