Hmmmmmm. Rumor has it that Mark-tard likes to cross dress when he's home alone. Does that count as a "local tranny expert"?
I also hear he usually has something pluged in just aft of his bellhousing too...
On a serious note..... Sorry Frank, I dunno what that is either. All the rigs I've parted had that sensor and harness. I haven't parted a '97 yet.

It's definetly a VSS, saw a pic of one at the parts house a little while ago.

Hmmmmm.... then I wonder if switching your TCM with the '98 might cause problems? Might need a VSS signal?

I was thinking the exact same actually. I've been sitting infront of this damn computer trying to find the VSS wiring on line...no love. I've got a 2001FSM...no love there either. I'm thinking that splicing in the 97 connector onto the 98 tranny might be the way to go.
