I'd do that 96 302 ford in a heartbeat boss, but I wouldn't waste the effort on a 4.3 chevy.

Point taken! All mounts would be the same just have to figure the wiring out. Guess I can put the 4.3 in the Scout or land cruiser, but thats another post.

Having had a 4.3L S10, it's a great motor, but I don't see much of a benefit of it compared to the 4.0.

Plus the spark plugs are a hell of a lot easier to change on the I6... if I'm going to get the packaging hassles of a V motor, it needs to be a V8.
