Another reason I believe the way I do........ You either belive the Bible in it's entirety as well as the Koran or you are a hypocrite........ You cannot pick and choose parts of a holy book to believe..... it is ALL or nothing!! I have delt with Muslims over there and here...... again I say you do not know OUR enemy!! And again I say... the borders we know today were not always this way!! Study your history...... the part of the world that is so hotly contested was NOT islamic from the start, it was Christian!! The muslims have always been pushing west........... the west just pushed back!! The vast majority of muslims, as well as christians, are peaceful people concerned with the future of their immortal souls, not which way you or I face when we pray! Christians yes because the holy book says so........... but not the Muslims, their book reads differently...... killing you or me will earn them paradise and they MUST face east to pray!!!!! They are beating us with our own doctrine and laws!!! The best defence is a good offence!!
There are only a handful of muslims, and from my perspective I could give a rats ass about their faith, who are MY enemy -- those who have perpetrated attacks on the US. Unfortunately, their apprehention is no longer a primary US goal, but rather "protection of Afghani citizens", who by the way are Muslim -- please. Decide if you believe in natural law/rights for men, or just for men who look, believe, and live like you do. I know where I stand, and if its natural law/rights, I don't have the discretion to decide who enjoys such rights, niether do you, and neither does the supposedly omnipotent US government -- I believe in FREE men -- free to live good, productive lives, or free to make crappy choices and suffer the consequences, as undoubtedly some fundamentalist muslims will, as will wacky sorts of all religions, neo-nazis and other assorted scumbags of every creed and color closer to home. Attempts to eradicate everything you percieve as evil inevitably fails, becase evil exists regardless of the effort. Better to live a good life, enjoy life and your friends and family, provide a good example -- but be prepared to defend it.
