All signs point to pinion bearing. Whether that was a result of low fluid, or just worn out is anyone's guess.

I've seen some messed up D35's but that is the first time I seen the pinion punch through the housing. :shocked: Nicely done! :rof:

8.8 is in and works great. Love how the better gearing smoothed out acceleration, not to mention the better braking. Big difference all the way around, very happy with this upgrade.

Yep 4.10's in the rear now. I have a hp30 in the garage that I'm setting up for 4.10's, WJ knuckles/brakes, mini skids, and ABS shafts.
