I have a used Surco and had to make the mounts but I love its light weight and ease of removal. Mine just carries my full size spare.

i built one myself and it didnt take too long. its heavy and i dont like the air resistance of it either. you can really feel it going down the freeway on a windy day. i also mounted my highlift and cb antenna up there as well. i would take mine off but i want to keep it as a camping/rock rig. (at least thats what im shooting for) its also nice because it his trees before the body does and has saved my roof a few times. id make one cause you can build it to you tastes. you can put all types of things up there.
