Thats pretty close to my time, got approx 14.03 @ 165 Kmh using a stop watch. I should race you some time, it should be close.

Of course, they say a stopwatch isin't very accurate b/c the person doing it has a response lag time. I wan't to know my jeeps 0-60mph time but lack a friend competent enough w/a stopwach "ok, when I say go, start the clock...wait hold I can't find the button..."

if your that curious about acceleration...you could pick up a "G-Tech Performance meter" or find someone who has one ...there pretty accurate

N20 Jeep,

That's pretty badass if I may say so. I've got an XJ and a YJ that I'd love to bolt on NOS, if for nothing but some occasional chirping.

I find the YJ is normally used in the lower gears(on the trail), but I bet it's fun to slam that while putting down the road, or from a stoplight :) .

Thumbs Up,

Flip

I had the thought of one floating at the back of my mind for a while. But all the ones I"ve seen are pretty exspensive. :|

The cheapest one I saw was 300 bucks, I wish I had a friend that had one allready. :laugh3:

I'm pretty sure theres cheaper ones but I just really haven't put any effort into finding one.

And what does "Yup... Now I've seen it all" supposed to mean?, ehhhh.. heh heh.

so not to knock it too much, but what's teh point of having a NOS system in the jeep? Could be that I"m from the East coast? (not knockin' y'all for having it, just wondering what you use it for)

Gtech's are actually not that expensive and a pretty good tool for tuning. The Gtech pro my buddy has was out .2 high and 3 mph on the last two cars I've tried it on. There are a bunch of variables but they were consistant. Track pavement verus street/backroad traction. It did'nt work too well on my sled ;). ET and MPH on ice was out from real traps. On the street was very close.
Your in Guelph, take a trip to St Thomas or Cayuga and try it on the strip.

actually im on the east coast too...well , for starters i dont offroad my jeep (2wd) and i love going fast and suprising people...and i am into racing and have dealt with nitrous for some years now ...its not for everyone though...but mainly its just for fun

Hey, collegeoffroad. The sqeeze is there just as insurance, most likely, so that you can make sure that the "street people" are reminded that just because it is loud AND ugly, it is not always as fast as you think it is. I love to do the same thing to the rice patrol around here, too. No sqeeze, just better built, yeah?

What was in the ranger 3.0? or 4.0? My brother's 95 2.5L XJ smoked a Ranger Edge with a 3.0 in it. Hard to believe.

the ranger was a 3.0 modded and tuned by reighnhart performance....he ran a 15.1 @ 93 mph at Gainsville

btw...this thread is old
