A lil help..

..needed @ a place that's pretty cool and not often mentioned or visited. This is a tidbit from a recent TR: "Since the previous owner (Mike Patterson) has died, the management of the ghost town has struggled. Most recently, the very wet weather that SoCal and NoCal have received has by-passed this central region. The area is suffering for natural water. Bob told me that he would appreciate donations of fresh, potable water and of firewood of any kind.

I remember visiting this place back in the late 90's with the Santa Ana Jeep Club. We camped out in "town" and went on a number of fun trail runs to check out some of the old mines and equipment in the area. I never really hear it mentioned much on here though. Seems some of the SoCal guys do some wheeling in the general vicinity, but I've been wondering if they knew about Cerro Gordo. Cool little place to check out if you're down that way. Sorry to hear they are having a tough time as of late.
