A/C removal

I have a 89 and the a/c has not worked for 15 years. I was thinking of removing the a/c condenser to help the airflow to the radiator and put in a trans cooler. Will this help in the cooling or is it a lot of work for nothing..

I feel like it helps. Mine runs cooler than before.

I also turned my old AC compressor into on board air.
