1998 Cherokee XJ Limited 4WD.
Everything on this Jeep works as new or better. It was built to be bulletproof and inconspicuous. I wanted something that would be absolutely, 100% reliable, comfortable, unstoppable and able to drive anywhere without hesitation without drawing attention to itself.
Literally every part is new, is warranted for life from whatever parts suppliers they came from. The only things original are the crank, pistons, valves and transmission/transfer case and headliner. Started with an extremely clean 98 XJ and went from there.
The paint is flat obviously. I had it painted professionally using bumper paint. The point being it looks like a factory flat paint job and it's incredibly durable but godforbid you use it like it's a Jeep and smack something the paint can be spot repaired accurately, easily by yourself with the same paint in the flat bumper black rattle can you can buy at a body shop. Maintenance is; rinse it off with the 'spot free rinse' at the local car wash and it looks brand new. (The goal with flat paint is not to touch it.)
Hi flow radiator, water pump and cooling system. Runs at 190 constant regardless of outside temp with AC on at full blast.
The entire exhaust is new (Magnaflow stainless including the cat)
The entire brake system is new - literally every single piece of it from the reservoir to the bleeders.
Ram air kit.
New Motor mounts, transmission mounts, tires, Bilstein front shocks, Monroe load-levelers in the rear, new fuel pump (inside of the tank was cleaned at the same time), new transmission cooler lines, new power steering pump, new tailgate lift struts, all of the bulbs are new interior and exterior, new alternator, new starter, new battery, new oil pan gasket, new rear main seal, 02 sensors, new front and rear wipers, polyurethane bushings, new crank position sensor.
New steering wheel and clock spring.
New front and rear wheel bearings.
The entire AC system is new (receiver, drier, compressor, check valve, etc)
Tire pressure monitor system.
Leather done by a Bentley leatherer, with seat heaters.
Alpine IDA-X305 stereo system with Bluetooth, hands-free phone, amplifier and subwoofer in the spare tire. The entire car has been Dynomatted. All of the speakers are new.
Escort passport 9500iX system installed with remote mounted mute and report button. (It's there but you can't see it. It's pretty brilliant.)
Viper alarm System with two way remote that will alert you up to two thirds of a mile away if somebody's doing something to the car.
I also have 4 gas caddies that combined will allow you to carry 56 extra gallons of gas while taking up very little space. The truck gets 19+ mpg on the freeway at 60mph with the mods.
Speaking of which, even the cruise control works.
(Sorry the pics aren't better but I didn't really take these with selling it in mind, they were mostly progress for posterity shots).
Anyway, should I decide to let it go, what do you think it's worth?
