97 for $1750 CL

For a DD and not a trail rig thats still a hell of a deal. I don't even use 4hi in the winter time much if at all really. The only time I put it in 4 anything last winter was to pull people out of ditches and there driveways. I'm sure gas miliage would be better even. Ditch the larger tires back to a 235 at or something. Sorry just rambling out loud again.

Offer him $1750 if he puts all the pistons in a single row.

and I run 4 hi a lot when it's crappy. used tcases are cheap

Does anybody really know what time it is???

I trust my eyes and my compression tester and my vacuum gauge...I'm trusting my eyes less these days. Everything else is subject to poetic license

It just looks like a BB and some 30s on it maybe 31s I can't tell. As far as lifting a 2wd jeep you got me on that one man. Clearance? Someone on CO4x4 a few years back had a red 2x4 xj and a winch with a rear locker and he had done alot of trails in colorado. Sure he struggled a bit on some obsticals but over all he finished every trail he started on.

4wd helps you get going faster but it doesn't help you stop faster, so thats why I don't go into 4wd much even in crappy weather. It has to be really bad before I even go into it. I think too many people rely on 4x4 way more than they need. our mail lady out here at the shop her jeep is only 2wd.

good thing I got rid of the vac disco D30, my vac ball sucks when it's cold out and the front would lock and unlock depending on throttle position, I think it was causing some interesting noises. We'll see I guess.

If I lived in Cali or AZ I'd be all about a 2WD XJ w/ a 6" or more lift. Desert racing baby!!! Screw them trophy trucks, I's gots a HEEP!!
