97+ Clutch master cylinder issue

I’ve got a 98’ with an AX15 and I have replaced the clutch/flywheel. I got a pre-bleed master/slave assy and am having an issue getting the master in on the fire wall. I measured out the studs and the center section and verified it is the same at the factory original. It looks to me that the hole from the factory was drill incorrectly and that the original was installed incorrectly. The firewall is bent from the original install. I just wanted to verify that this is incorrect. I will just take a 90 degree with a carbide and enlarge the hole if it is.
