I have had the worst luck the past year. My previous XJ had a run in with a car and a tree and was sold off. Now my replacement has been vandalized and almost stolen. Whoever did it was a complete moron, though. There is NOTHING missing, and he left his screwdriver behind.

However, I am left with the repair bill unfortunately and need to see what parts I need. If there is someone in the Pontiac/ North Detroit area that can help me out with the repairs, I can make it worth their while.

I am needing the narrow window for the rear passenger door, as well as sheet metal unbending around the framing.

I also need to repair the Ignition column and switch. All the components are strewn about the seats, a lot of broken plastic. The key cylinder may still be workable once put back in place, but I need help in this part to get it back together.

that kind of stuff happens in Detroit? Can't believe it. :D

seriously, that sucks but it's not that big of a deal, the window is bolt in and so is a new column. if you want to road trip i'd give a hand, I'm in Midland.

I'm not even sure if it will start up at this point. There's a lot of damage around the ignition switch. Thank you for the offer, though.

Just went out to try and start it up. The mechanical parts move like they should. I can place the key cylinder into the ignition switch and turn it, but there's no power to the column. I won't be going anywhere.

I'm taking the Jeep to a local garage this weekend to get the steering column fixed up. Just need to get the heap to drive again.

Still looking for the rear door window and some help getting it in.
