95 AW4 in a 90?

Is there wiring difference between the 95 aw4 and a 90? I want to go to 23 spline, and I'll be picking up a complete 95 aw4 tomorrow - am I better off just swapping outputs on my 90 unit or is the 95 easy enough to get working in the 90?

TLDR: 1990.5-1996 are bolt-in as long as you swap input gears in your transfer case to a 23 spline, or swap the transfer case as well. Remember that NP231 input gear cuts changed in 94 or 95 and that the rear output of the transfer case changed from 95 to 96 when selecting a donor.

I will be going to 23 spline in the t-case setup so I should be covered there.

Now I just need to figure out wiring a lockup switch for 1st gear and the tq converter.
