92 XJ Ford 19lb injector Q

Im wondering what year of mustangs make the orange top injectors.

Also whats this debate over the size of injectors needed?

I see some people saying HO is 21lb and some saying its still 19lb.

I have blue top 24lb injectors in a new motor atm and it barely even starts with the fuel regulator backed all the way off lol. i dont see how 21lbs to 24lb would make that big a difference if it was true.

21 to 24 is a large difference. Especially if you have the fuel reg back offed a lot. I would up the fuel pressure and see if it starts, if you haven't already tried that.

from factory it comes tuned at 41psi i think so about half way up. wouldnt even try and start. Backed it all the way off and it starts but smokes and smells of unburnt fuel

They are 19lbs. Every Mustang GT from 89-04 come with the Yellow/orange 19lb injectors. All the 5.0 GT's and LX's are H.O. The 93 Cobra came with the blue top 24lbs. I'm not sure about the later 4.6 Cobras.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think 91-95 4.0 cherokees are 39 psi while 96-01's are 49 psi.
