I've owned this truck for a few years, and it is a really decent truck, except I blew a ring in the rebuilt 4.0, and lost the oil out the air intake on i95 in October. It's been sitting in MA since, waiting motor work, but I am too busy to deal with it. The motor hasn't been taken apart since the incident, so I don't know how bad off the motor is... It could need valves and be fine, or it may need more work. It ran really well up until the rings went on that one cylinder, and even after that, it ran well on 5, but it was driven less than a day that way.
The motor aside, the specs:
1989 XJ Laredo with
Completely rebuilt '90 4.0 I6
Borla Stainless Header
'91+ cooling system w/ fan switch under dash
(all of the above was done last april with pretty much all brand new parts, hardware, hoses)
NP 242 Transfer Case
2" Old Man Emu lift
OME steering stabilizer
BFG 31" x 10.5" AT/ko's with less than 2000k
Trimmed front flare and air dam
Custom4x4Fabrication front tow shackles
In the 2 years I drove it, I also have had the entire front end dealt with (think, no wobble) have installed new Timken front hubs, new rotors, pads... both diffs have been cleaned out and filled up... I had a shop replace the joints in the front with heavy duty ones... it has an alpine stereo with the stock jensons in the rear, and pyle 65w in the front, with matching mini tweeters and crossovers under the dash.
Blue exterior with grey interior and trim, even has the cupholder mod.
I don't have arecent photo, but have others available on request. I can arrange to meet up and see the truck on weekends. (I live in NYC, it is in MA, south of boston.)
I really want to keep it, but I can't. Any offers?
