88 Xj Need Advice!!

OK heres the deal my friend bought a 88 from a kid everything on the jeep is good its ruff wen you start it but it smooths out and i traded him a dirtbike for it BUT i dont have the title my friend says the kid he got it from sold it to loan place and i want the jeep so i would like to know wat to DO or what i can DO! thx!

go to the loan place find out how much is owed on it, or find the kid and go up to the DMV on SW pkwy cross from my house and spend 8 bucks to print a title so you can see who has the lien on it.

I think they will tell you who the lein holder is for free. Those loan company people are jerks to deal with in this situation. I've tried before... They don't budge! If you still can't get a title, part it out and cut the rest up. Into little tiny pieces....

Chances are the loan place didn't actually perfect the lien. If they didn't, just have the kid file for a lost title. Heck, you can even do that yourself...people buy vehicles all the time and get them licensed. Click here and you can get more info on the process.

A neighbor had a title loan with a company on a Honda and wanted to sell it. Went to the DMV and had them make him a title as if it was lost and it was about $25 to get the paperwork then he sold the Honda and the loan company couldn't do anything to the new owner. Everything worked out and the loan company finally settled for half what they said he owed.

you got a jeep with out the title in hand? what about a bill of sales? did you get anything that says you made a trade, or purchase?
