8.25 - 27 vs. 29 spline

Next time, search. Yes, the carriers are different so you'll need to switch that along with the other things you mentioned.

So if I had a 27 spline 8.25 I could get 29 spline shafts and a locker/carrier ie. detroit, and be done with it?

I did, and it was a pita trying to wade through all the BS to get what I wanted. So I posted.

I searched for the following under three different discussion subjects:
8.25 = too many results
8.25 27 spline = got 5 pages of results
8.25 27 29 = nothing
8.25 27 carrier = way too many results
After this point I was tired of searching.

Any suggestions on what to search for that would give me the results I'm looking for instead of every thread of someone wanting to swap an 8.25 for a 8.8 or something else?
