6.5" Lift from Rusty's. Can I have some Feedback

I did not have a good experience with Rusty's leaf packs, they turned from a gentle U shape to a W shape. Axle wrap sucks, especially when it causes driveline spitting

Axle wrap happens anyway. Build a traction bar, don't blame it on the springs.

No problems with RE springs (canadian made) and 5+ years of use ( DD, wheeling, pulling a trailer, etc)

you can certainly blame it on the springs. strong leafs wont wrap (as much).

not everyone can build a traction bar.

but everyone can discuss who makes a decent leaf pack that isnt as prone to axle wrappage

Im running Rusty's 6.5" leaf packs out back with zero issues. Also running there 8" coils. But im running a rock Krawler 3 link and shackles.

- New rustys lift w/ spring pack-------------------------- no axle wrap
- 2 months of time------------------------------------- nasty axle wrap
- new 9/16" ubolts 1/2" spring plate
and grade 8 bolts for centering pin-----------------super nasty axle wrap
- oem springs for sh*ts and gigs ------------------------ no axle wrap!

i think i found the problem...

I have had a Rusty's 4.5 full kit for several years now and it has been good. A lot of the mfg. buy the springs from the same vendor. What is different are the components. control arms. etc.

i think i found the problem...

Hummmmm, I have 4.5 rustys leafs with 2in shackles... On for 9 months. No axle wrap, no sag.

rusty's lifts no good, leaf springs junk, trac bar broke, LC bad after 3 months the only thing i found good was front coils. if u want a good lift go CLAYTON!:rof:

I've been running my Rusty's Fixed lowers for 3 years and Rusty's 4.5" coils and 4.5" leafs for over 9 months. I have ZERO complaint.

I'd buy from Rusty's again with out a second thought. I've always got helpful people on the phone when needed..
