Swapped the rear axle over to the Comanche, left it sprung over for now, waiting to see how the front sits before I decide whether to leave it sprung over and take some leaves out or spring it under and use my lift shackles.

Yay hole sawing through unibody rails!

Welded in inserts for long arm brackets.

I like it.

It's looking about right, maybe lower it a bit.

The Cherokee had a Marilyn stencil on the hood that my friend and I did in college, I wanted to do something similar on the Comanche so he designed this

Of course it started a theme.

Gun gussets!

Do you have any photos of your A pillar setup? I appreciate the advice! Don't worry about putting photos up on here, it's already full of them.

Richards A pillar is similar to mine. I chose to not put the B pillar through the roof. The way I did it was only 6 inches further back and through the bed and my bed is not removable at this point. I also was able to provide some side support with the way I had the B pillar come out the side but nothing I can really get hung up on (like you do with a exo).

Cracker, that's a nice solution to the cage situation. I like white MJ's!

As for the grill I think I'm going to stick with a Jeep version although GM is providing the grunt on this build. The XJ got lots of double takes and evil glares from Jerp lovers, but it did fit well before it got all smashed up.

armor up those corners with the sheet metal work! nice work on all the cancer...

have you considers having box an exo and internal - going through the roof - tying into unibody?

oh and i would suggest running a uni stiffener before cage work - helped a hell of a lot on my XJ and give you a nice weldable surface - not uni body to weld to...

Thanks! Where specifically do people do unibody plating on MJ's? I guess the next step is some tube work, although the 5.3L that I'm actually using is waiting to go in. Loads of work to do.

Yes, the metal housings, lol.

I've been busy tinkering with the FC and wandering around Newfoundland, which is awesome BTW. Finished up a few little things.

Patched and powder coated the rotted filler neck.

Finished one of the tail light housings.

Finally some progress.

Picked up a blown up LS1 from motorhed and swapped the intake and accessories onto my LM7, then lobbed the hot mess into the 'manche bay.

The power steering lines even bolted right up. They look a bit pretzel so I'll be modifying them.

Manifolds fit.

I guess I'll cancel my order for a four inch cowl hood. Damn pro street lifted Jeeps are in too. :bacon:

:yay:

Made up the second tail light housing yesterday, it's amazing how much time these little suckers can take. Damn them. I'll throw it in the oven sometime this coming week. I took a sawzall to the radiator support of the Comanche so I could fit a Cherokee grill and radiator on it. I have two stock fans as well and I think that's about it for cooling. If it overheats I guess I'll add more fan, or pull some plug wires.

Look at all that room!!

All normal looking, I want to put another S15 grill on this thing but the Jeep die hards are such haters.

Organic prop rod in full effect. The intake seems to not quite fit.

315349_561709813361_38126383_n.jpg

:yay: For clearance and fresh air reasons, I think I'm going to run the intake backwards into the HVAC/cowl area. It means more work so why not?

Damn you tail light.
