46 inches on an XJ?!?!

I saw a guy tonight at the Wheelin' in the country park in TN that had 46 inch boggers on his XJ. Of course it looked like a frankstein jigsaw puzzle, but this guy still had the 4 liter, (not sure what gearing) and was running 65 and 70 MPH with absolutely no problem. I couldn't tell exactly how much lift he had although he had a complete sub-frame under it and some pencil rigged metal work. This guy had to stand on a stump to get in the thing, any idea how he built this monster and held it together?, not to mention what gearing this guy must be running?

assuming it was a white xj w/ a blue cage and coilsovers, theyre 44's

well not sure on the brand or anything, just got a habit of adding boggers to anything around 40 inches (since most of them are). They were 46 inches, I didn't believe him either, until I looked at them

That guy is running 49's, not 44's.

yeah, he has the 44" boggers, all cut up w/ the little lugs gone, and the 49" iroks, but for some reason, boggers are still better

i hope he didn't have a chevy blazer or ford bronco frame under it... i've seen that done and it is a pitiful sight...and i've always wondered how they hook up the steering linkage. i saw one where they laid the cherokee frame right on top of the blazer frame and it made it look like it had about a 12" body lift. it was running like 35's i think and still had about a foot to the top of the fender with no lift on the blazer suspension. but the guy still has no more clearance than a blazer with 35's...stupid stupid stupid
