32 inch tires with no lift? How much trimming?

Has anyone here put on 32" tires (Wrangler MTR's peferably) on a XJ with no lift? Also, maximum tire size with no lift? How much trimming? pics please

No. 30's. too freaking much. I am on 32's w/3inch lift and they still rub on stock fender flairs

By all means. Trim the bajeezus out of it and slam those beasts in there.

Find a nice fire hydrant to flex out on an then trim away till it no longer rubs.

X2. I'm gonna try to fit 36's on 5 inches of lift. I say go for it.

that will fit without a problem. 32"s on stock will require Alot of trimming. you will have NO fender clearence for suspension flex. I would advise a cheap Budget lift, you can gain 2" for about $150 just some spring spacers and shackles..

Go to the "Trimming Wheelwells" thread in the FAQ section if you need tips on how to best trim. I ran 30"s untrimmed on stock suspension, it just barely fits under moderate flex.

i had to trim 2-2.5" off fenders to fit 33's w/ 3.5" lift. Will still barely rub at full flex with extended bump stops. you can fit the 32's w/ no lift, but like everyone has said you'll have to trim a lot off the fenders and prob. reweld the rear as you'll have to cut past the pinched seam in the rear to fit.

when i put the 33's on w/ my 3.5" lift w/o any trimming, I couldn't even turn the wheels w/o rubbing up front. had to cut all the way up to the top of the original flare and add 2" bumpstop extensions.

u can do anything if you don't mind alot of cutting, etc. u prob. would be better off though with just popping in a cheap 2" budget lift to fit those tires imo.

I did 33's and no lift (and saggy leafs at that), and I honestly didn't like it much.

Stock springs, stock bumpstops, basically stock uptravel. Even with my rediculous trim job (complete replacement of wheel wells front and back), the tires did rub on the upper fenders still:

I pieced together a 3" lift, and much prefer it to no lift. The rig is still very well balanced and stable, and I dont get hung up nearly as often. And those fast(ish) runs through the desert are much better with another 3 inches of uptravel.

You can throw 30's on it with a 2" lift and no trimming, but if your goin to run any thing more...lift time

Thanks man, I did some reading and looks like I will be trimming to run the 31's I got. For now anyway.
