He also has the audacity to criticize blacks and tell them that some of their problems are their own fault. Look at the outrage when Bill Cosby told blacks to quit being lazy, and work for their own prosperity. I mean, there is still some bias and discrimination going on, but it's definitely "the man holdin a brotha down" anymore.

Great racial uniters, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton say that Cain only has the support of white voters because he tells them what they want to hear.......wait, isn't this why the majority of blacks voted for Obama in 2008?

If not, then what other reason could it be?

I would venture to guess that ALL voters tend to vote for the candidate that tells them what they want to hear.

BTW: I thought the Obama administration was going to take guns out of the hands of private citizens & close GTMO? I guess 'change' and the scare tactics of the right really didn't happen.

President Obama will be relected. The Republican Party is to fractured. Can Christians get over Romney being in a 'cult'; can Mormons get over Perry supporters stupid statements about their religious views; does Bachman stand a chance with more than her little group of followers & can Cain get over the fact that folks do not believe he is black enough and just pandering to rich white folks?

I'm Catholic, but really question religion playing this big a role in my government and who should be elected as the leader. The Pope didn't move into the White House when Kennedy was elected, heck it was President G.W. Bush who had the most communication with the Holy Cee than any other administration. The 'other' Christian religions need to back out of my country's Constitution.

Speaking of the late President Kennedy, Ron Paul better watch what he says about the Federal Reserve. JFK was posied to take that institution on and look where it got him.

Obama said he would close GTMO. Not really a scare tactic if the guy said it. As far as guns, looking at his past actions, one could infer that if he wanted to raise the tax on ammo, it didn't bode well for guns in general.

Folks need to recognize that religion is being used as a tool by the media, who go out of their way to avoid discussing anything related to the good that religious groups do for the community, yet see this as a great opportunity to whip up controversy and create distractions from the real issues and a way to promote devisiveness within the party the media views as the opposition.

Candidates religious views will have very little to do with my voting decisions, my focus is on their relationship with the US Constitution.

Seriously.....XXXX religion as a topic in this prezidential election....

If a fiscally responsible, conservative, right-leaning, libertarian-minded, working american has a problem with romney being a mormon considering the current situation, they oughta get thier skull readjusted.

Im glad this shit is being hashed now, because ot will more than likely prove to be a non-issue, and we'll forget about it and move on

I cant believe the lib media played the mormon card this early on.

I disagree. Newt critics are twisting what he's doing and some people are believing it without knowing the facts. It's akin to people taking out of context Mitt's statment about how he likes to fire people. Newt explains it best in this video, which I encourage you watch to the end:

Here's a question: Why is Mitt getting a free pass when he launched into a much larger smear campaign against Newt? It's been suggested by several pols that the Republican "establishment" is in the tank for Mitt.
 
Clarification-I havent given any weight to smear adds by either Newt or Mitt. I like Rudys points about capitalism.

I agree. And while I think Ron Paul has a few very good ideas, some of his stances are so "utterly irrational" that I'm not convinced he would be that much better than Prez O'Holy One.
