2002 grand cherokee heater core

I just purchased a 2002 grand cherokee 4.0L, 0331 TUPY. I noticed a faint anitfreeze smell inside. I'm guessing heater core but will have to check further.
I know the blend doors can be accessed by cutting a hole inside the glove box. Is there a way to replace the heater core without taking out the entire dash?

I think you're going to have to take the whole dash apart buddy, but don't rely on my word alone. Good luck w/ it!

I've probably done 4 of these just in my garage because they always go bad. There is a simply trick to it that will save you literally thousands and/or time. but for the LIFE of me I cannot remember the site...

Right.. but you can't replace the heater core that way right? my blend door is fine but I was going to replace it while I was in there.
The heater core is the real issue here.
