That's right folk I have a 4.0L out of my wifes 2001 Wrangler that I'm giving away!
Before you get too excited the motor is no good, well sort of. The motor ran when pulled but it was making noise. It was also using lots of coolant, i.e. water in the oil. When I pulled the valve cover it was very apparent that there indeed was water in the oil. Also, the rocker arms were shot. The strange thing is everything else looks pretty good. No wear on the cam, rod bearing still look good, rocker tips did not wear, etc. So there are lots of good internals parts. Plus it has a late model head. The real problem is I could not identify where the leak was. Could be the head, block, or head gasket.
Basically the motor is a long block, no accessories. This means no intake, no exhaust, no brakets etc. Just the block and head. It also must be picked up. The only shipping I will do is to the local dump, which is exactly where this thing will end up if no one wants it. I would rather someone get some use from it or its part than toss it but I want it out of my garage soon.
If you are local to Milwaukee (I'm 1 hour north) and have some interest in this motor please let me know soon.
Thanks,
B-loose
