1998 Jeep Cherokee FS/ Parts

Alright, I'm going to be real I'm probably never going to be doing anything with this thing.

I bought this off Rob, and it has been sitting in my drive way since. My parents don't like it sitting there anymore.

I'll be completely honest on everything. Rockers are starting to show some rust, there was a patch rear quarter behind wheel, and it looks like the drivers side will need the same. Interior is a little dingy, but it will come with a good condition clean rug set. Interior is the black/gray dual color, and has all the black interior/dash/harness pieces from my previous '99. Engine and transmission have leaks. You will need to replace the seal on the transmission pan, it leaks a good bit. I also can include the hvac box/heater core from my old '99 too. I have a bunch of spare parts.

Exterior is pretty decent. I have never drove the thing. It is titled in MA, and I have the title in hand.

Jeep does not start, maybe a starter but I never tried to change it. It has been sitting dead in my driveway since I got it.

Ask me any questions.

it wasnt the starter, you could jump it with a screw drivers, motor leaked around the oil filter adapter, there were new gaskets and rear main, motor was out of the blue jeep ran great, if you do part it id be interested in the motor

I'm open to offers, so if you're interested you can PM me. I would like to get most of my money back for the thing, not looking for a fortune.

Being able to be jumped with a screw driver is an indicator the starter solenoid is the culprit.
The majority of the fluid is transmission fluid, it is red in color.

And since you mentioned it Rob, I want to be clear for everyone else.
I'm not parting this out, it must be taken away whole so people please don't ask for parts. Who ever wants it can fix it and drive it, build it into an offroader like I planned, or use it as parts.

The Jeep is located on Cape Cod, MA

tried 3 different starters, none worked in that jeep without jumping the solenoids, annd worked without any issue in my 95, had the same leaking issue with the trans when it sat during the motor swap, once i started driving it again it stopped leaking, its a very solid shell that would make a great start for a wheeling rig, i so miss dd'ing a xj

You may have checked this already but its worth a shot if you have not. Might be a faulty starter relay. I'm not at home right now so I can't get you the exact relay number, but is in the black relay box under the hood.

Yep, I know where the starter relay is in the PDC. I really haven't done any trouble shooting on the Jeep when I got it, and I really don't have time to do it now either. (one of the reasons I'm selling it) I'll probably get a chance to swap the relay this weekend, but that would be the extent of it. The Jeep sits at my parent's place since I don't have room for it in the city, and I can only get to it on the weekends.

Feel free to make offers. I would like this gone.

Give ya 1000$ cash.

I'd be interested for the right price, which is??? You mentioned trying to at least break even, so PM me with what that actually means.
