I just bought a 99 Classic and I don't have space to keep this one, although I think this could make an affordable daily driver or a great trail rig.
OK so the Specs:
I've owned her since 120k miles (September 2003).
Cherokee Briarwood package (power leather (tan) seats, extra sound deadening, and overhead console).
4.0L, AW4 Auto Trans, NP242 Part-Time and Full-Time 4x4
Only 149k current miles.
The Bad: 1" dent and missing piece of fiberglass (5" long) on the front drivers side of the hood. A/C doesn't blow cold but I lived with it. Tranny line has minor leak at the cooler. Front power windows do not work but easy fix(rears work good). Steering linkage needs attention. The motor has the typical Jeep ticking noise. Some (not much at all) surface rust but no rot.
The Good: Tires are fairly new and have lots of tread. Rear bumper is brand new. Front wheel hub replaced recently. Newish Rancho 9000 shocks, brand new front steering stabilizer. Two front u-joints replaced, and two front ball joints replaced recently. Front and rear pads/shoes with about 25k on them. Water pump replaced ~3000 miles ago. New valve cover gasket. Cap, rotor, plugs, air and fuel filter, and all fluids except tranny are fairly recent and in good shape. Recent catalytic converter, 02 Sensor and Magnaflow muffler. Recent speed sensor. Motor still pulls strong, runs at a good temp. There is a tow hitch and full size spare. Aftermarket CD player. Interior is clean and well kept, the leather seats are extremely comfortable and all the power adjustments work. 4x4 works flawlessly, tranny shifts smoothly, and overall it is a good daily driving Jeep for cheap.
Kelly Blue Book says $2,155 at fair condition.
I'm asking for $1,300 for a quick sale. I'm up in the North Shore area of Massashusetts.
I'm not looking for trades except for 30"x9.5" AT tires (new or like new), 1999 Jeep Cherokee Wheel Bearing/Hub, and 1999 Cherokee Front Brush Gaurd. No vehicle trades.
Email me for more photos.
