Thanks to noisy neighbors and dumb city codes, we have to sell our '79 FS Jeep Cherokee (too many toys in yard I guess). Wife and I were going to replace/rebuild engine, but probably would never get around to it. So I'm posting her for sale (the jeep, not the wife). I'm asking $500 to the first lucky person. I'll include the torn down engine too AMC 360. Can E-mail me at [email protected] or call my cell at (573)999-6379.

here is a link to all the pics i have on it: http://s2.photobucket.com/albums/y6/trailblazer93xj/1979 FS Jeep Cherokee/

I know how you feel. I once got a ticket for "unauthorized auto salvage buisness" or something like that because I had three vehicles in my back yard. They were behind a wooden privacy fence. I definately don't want to to hurt the neighborhood or bring down property values or anything, but behind a fence should be OK in my opinion. As far as I know there's no codes governing how many tomato plants or pink flamingos you can have in your yard. Good luck on selling your Jeep.

Here's a tip for you that came straight from a police officer. If you have an unregistered/uninsured vehicle on your property, put a car cover over it. They cannot come onto your property and lift the cover to check the current status of the vehicle without your expressed permission. Neither can your neighbors, for that matter.

But anyway, good luck with the sale.

Same no matter what country youre in I guess. I have the same problem, lowlife neighbours have nothing better to do than complain. Next they'll be telling us we cant work on our rides in the laneway. Brutal. I have 1 unlicenced jeep in the driveway, not in a million pieces but there. I'm waiting to swap the d44 out of it, it has a good motor and tranny and tcase that I'm also waiting to swap. Inspector told me to cover it with a tarp so I did and got another registered letter saying that a car cover was requested not a tarp blowing in the wind! I was livid. Anyway it'll get a car cover on the last day of compliance, not a second before. Fawking big brother. Good luck. Nice jeep.
