1" drop pitman question

A friend got a 1" drop pitman, and he got his old one off and the new one looks lust like the old one. The only difference on the new one is where it mounts to the steering rod. The hole is tapered the opposite way. Is this where the 1" comes in? Will it still work?

I have one too but have yet to put it on bc it looks the same length... Good question.

I bought one a couple of months ago and had the same impression, they look the same but once you remove the old one you can see that they are bent differently and that is what gives the 1" drop.

At least that was the case on mine.
