mine broke on the axle end on the highway at 65. After experiencing that you could not pay me to drive mine with out the track bar more than 1 foot. It was just about the scariest experience of my life and I have been in combat!!!

when your 89 has all of the factory options offered on a 99. your favorite mods actually make it slower.

I bet its your clockspring. Same thing happened to my 99 sport, no horn and airbag light was on. Its a pretty easy fix but the part was $70ish if I remember correctly.

I need a new clock spring for my 99 XJ. From what I have read I believe the part has to come from a donor with the same factory options, mainly Cruise Control. If anyone has one let me know what you want for it. Thanks.

Does the horn work? If not might be a broken clock spring. When it breaks you lose A/C, Cruise, and horn. Hope this helps. Oh and your air bag light will come on.
